U.S. Emergency Preparedness Trainings
With nearly 100 years of emergency response experience, Save the Children is committed to ensuring the unique needs of children are met before, during and after disasters. Here in the U.S. we’ve helped more than 1.3 million children affected by U.S. disasters since Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. Save the Children knows that every day in the U.S. millions of care providers, teachers, program implementers and community leaders are on the front lines of children’s safety and we want to equip these professionals with the knowledge, skills and resources to best protect children in disasters.
Save the Children has various emergency preparedness workshops and trainings that can help your community keep children and families safe. To learn more and schedule a training, please email GetReady@savechildren.org and find additional resources at www.savethechildren.org/GetReady.
